Vacuum-Powered Bug Catcher

Every now and then you come across a product that’s marketed one way, yet has an alternate use that’s way better. This Vacuum powered bug-catching gun is a good example. It’s marketed as a toy that allows young children to peacefully collect and examine insects, but the true killer app is using it to capture insects that have invaded your home and banish them back to the nasty outdoors where they belong. It’s very easy to use: you simply suck the bug up, close a little valve (which seals the bug in), unscrew the chamber from the rest of the gun, go outside, open the valve, and sprint back inside (before the bug can run out and touch you with its pincers).

Bottom line: the Discovery Vacuum-Powered Bug Catcher is the perfect non-lethal weapon in the never ending war against the insect world - and possibly a good toy for young insect lovers.
