Sales Director (based in New York, Chicago, Cincinnati, or Minneapolis)
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and penetrate advertising agencies and brands to generate a book of business within territory
- Build and maintain advertising agency and client relationships to identify additional sources of revenue
- Conceive, present, and sell customized packages that leverage the vibrant Expo audience to get consumers to interact with clients’ brands. Custom packages may include sampling, video insights, review syndication and technology.
- Develop custom sales presentations using industry trends, case studies, and other market data
- Create and deliver proposals, presentations, and respond to RFPs
- Evangelize social media and the use of applications to the advertising community
- Negotiate contracts
- Forecast and exceed revenue goals
- Serve as industry expert in social media
Knowledge and Skills:
You have an interest and passion for social media and believe that the way companies interact with their customers is fundamentally changing. You regularly use social media websites and applications such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, del.ic.ous, digg, etc. You enjoy the environment and excitement of a start-up. Specifically:
- 2-5 years selling online media, research, or consulting services to brands
- Strong relationships with advertising agencies and national brand advertisers
- Track record of successfully meeting and exceeding quotas
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- An entrepreneurial approach to business
- Desire to work in a start-up environment where there is constant change and limited resources
- Experience in & knowledge of social media
- Diligent work ethic, dependable, and ethical
- Significant travel within the region
- Fortitude to attack every challenge as though there are no other options but to succeed
Education Requirements:
- 4 year degree
